'I love simple, home cooked food. This habit needs to be inculcated in children also'
What made you stage the walk?It was for a cause and that was the biggest motivation. And I felt as a public figure, I am in a position to create health awareness and make people conscious of the benefits of good health.
How often do you go for walks yourself? My profession doesn't permit long walks.
But my dance rehearsals during shootings make up for it.
What's your health regime like?I come from a health-conscious family where both my mom and dad follow strict health regimes. I don't go to the gym but burn out the calories on my treadmill at home. Also, I do yoga in the evenings. So, all of it makes for a good routine.
What about your diet?I feel that what you eat reflects on the outside. Your body is like an engine which won't function properly unless it gets adequate fuel. So, I have natural food products and lots of fresh fruits and vegetables.
What do you think of junk food?I love chocolates but am against processed food. At the most, I have outside food just once a month. I love home-cooked food. This habit should be inculcated in kids too. They should stay away from junk food and have health drinks and juices instead of aerated drinks. I might drink 8-10 cups of tea a day but make sure to gulp down a glass of milk everyday too.
